Teddy – Lucy’s familiar of sorts, a ghost that haunts an antique suitcase. He appears to be around Lucy’s age and claims to be a hardened New York gangster from the Prohibition era. Lucy and Teddy inspect a mysterious cinema
Suki – a blue tit who can mysteriously talk, thanks to an unknown witch. Suki first arrives and asks for help from Lucy
Bea Furness – a “Shimmer” – a shapeshifter, but also a bookworm and software engineer. When Lucy met Bea
Talia Renton – a witch and family friend to the Waters family. Talia is Olive’s mentor and Olive writes to her with significant updates.
Firenze – Olive’s familiar, a Chinese Water Dragon. Firenze gives Olive a shock
Hatty Lowks – Olive’s maid. Keen of eye and more than she appears. Your maid gave you a gift?
Mrs Edgwood – a friend of Mrs Webfoot’s, very impressed with Olive Framley.
Suniya – Mrs Edgwood’s niece, not a witch but a friend to Lucy the same age as her. Lucy makes a new friend
